The Regional Growth Caravan tour discusses what has already been done and what more could be done to boost growth and jobs, promote investments and increase competitiveness in the chosen regions. The intention is also to show-case real added value of EU funding in the creation of growth and jobs.

Now the Tour is stopping in Kuopio. The Growth Caravan tour will be a good occasion to discuss the Health Technology and the Welfare of people. The sector employs at the moment 500 persons in the region and has huge potential in the future to create jobs and growth.

The tour involves the European Commission, European Parliament, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Finnish Parliament, Regional Council of Pohjois-Savo, City of Kuopio, Kuopio Innovation, Kuopio Region Chamber of Commerce and University of Eastern Finland.
