New symbol and logo of Pohjois-Savo

The new Pohjois-Savo logo and symbol were taken into use in September 2003. The logo was designed by Merja Tapio and Jukka Ollikainen from Dadaa Content Creators.

Two main colours of the province, yellow and black, form an upward circle in motion, which describes tradition, the arrow in the Pohjois-Savo coat of arms also the present and generation of the future.

The graphic material and instructions are freely available for the people. The target is to construct a uniform graphic appearance in Pohjois-Savo.
