Sports and culture services are widely offered in Pohjois-Savo municipalities. The high activity of childrens' sport afternoon club is very well known even nationally and have been inspected nationally. The biggest sports events in the Pohjois-Savo province are the Puijo games and Finland Ice Marathon in Kuopio. Sports clubs in Pohjois-Savo have been successful in competitive sports both in championship / league series as well in lower series. There are over 350 exercise and sports clubs in the Pohjois-Savo province, and on top of that hundreds of hunting clubs go in for shooting.
